Globally speaking nursing profession is demand in the market of education for across the world thousands of nurses are hired and their services become necessary. In particular within the United States every year, all states need thousands of qualified nurses. They are absorbed in different hospitals whether it is public or private one.

If you are a student planning to take and pursue a nursing profession you must know the nature of different types of nursing job.

Taking about Nursing Job there are of different kinds that you can choose from it is based on your specialization , expertise and ability. Therefore it is important that you have to look and consider the different options of nursing job that suits your interest and ability. Note that you will not be effective in a particular field if you are not familiar with it.

Professional Nurse has many faces some of these are;

· Registered Nurse (RN) - The biggest number or group in the health care workers. Directly they extend their service in patients and patient’s families. Their main task is focus on patient’s evaluation and monitoring.

· Nurse Practitioners - Commonly known as care givers. They are the primary person in the health care unit who can diagnose and treat injuries and illnesses. They can also prescribe some medications.

· Head Nurse – They are considered to be as Nurse Supervisor. Their main responsibility is to supervise every activity of the nurses within their care. They are also responsible in making and setting the work schedule, designating and assigning duties to nurses and must ensure that the nurses within their jurisdiction have the appropriate training that is necessary in their work.

· License Practical Nurse – They are responsible for taking vitals and monitor patients. They do dressing the wounds, giving enemas and bathing to patients.

· Home Nurses – Patients with condition as Alzheimer’s disease, home nurses are called for they can manage nursing care for residents.

· Nursing Aide – they are also known as nursing assistant basic work is assigned to them such as serves meals, dress and bathe patients, make beds take temperature and blood pressure and other support activities to nurses.

The different types of nursing job mentioned above will help you in your decision making in choosing a specialization.
